For my second project using the February kit and add on I've made two tags. Tags are really useful for scrapbook pages or popping into albums so you can journal on the back. The colours in this kit really are lovely and bright.
I started off by die cutting two big tags with the gorgeous Apricot and Lagoon cardstock. If you don't have a die you could easily cut your own. I cut out two rectangles to fit the tags with the plainer sides of the patterned papers. I then stencilled on each of them with oxide inks in salvaged patina and ripe persimmon.
I fussy cut some of the circles from the patterned papers and built them up or cut them in half. I've used one of the pretty turquoise flowers for a centre from the kit and added a crystal. I've also inked all the edges with a black ink. Next I stamped a little bit of text over that layer.
The kit comes with some white ric rac so I added some to the top and bottom for some extra texture. I then used four of the chipboard flourishes. I covered them in oxide inks in peacock feathers and ripe persimmon and then clear embossed them. I then adhered to the tags.
I wanted to add some kind of text and found a sheet of washi tape which was ideal. I found the words I liked and added them to the tag. I made sure to burnish the tape with a bone folder to really blend them in.
To finish off I added some white highlights with a Posca pen.
