Paddle Boarding by KERRY MCINALLY

I used the ‘Coastal’ cardstock as my background and a 4x6 photo.

First of all I cut out the rope circle from the Paper Crane patterned paper and distressed the edges. I used the piece that I had cut from the centre to back my photo and distressed that too.

I then cut the same sized circle piece from the ‘Grateful’ patterned paper, using my rope circle as a template. I placed this onto the card stock base and using an Unchartered Mariner distress oxide ink, from my stash, I coloured the edges going out slightly so it would show behind my rope frame.

Next I used foam tape on the rope circle and attached this around the circle. Then I used the scroll pieces and attached these on each side.

I placed my photo inside my frame. Then I cut out the banner piece ‘Special day’ from the ‘Tradition’ patterned paper and placed this towards the bottom of my frame.

Finally I used the alphas provided to spell out Paddle Boarding and then fussy cut the tassel image from the ‘Paper Crane’ patterned paper which I snipped to give some texture. I also used a rope border piece from a 49 and Market laser cut pack, from my own stash, which I added across the centre of the layout.
