Elaine shares a touching layout of remembrance this week using the August Scrapaholix kits. Here’s what she did.
First take the Yukon Gold card stock and gut a central panel measuring approximately 8“ x 6“.
Then take a piece of the pale grey card stock and cut a 9” square.
Taking the three pieces of patterned paper that you see in the photos, cut diagonal pieces as per the photograph and use the two triangles in the top and bottom corners.
Ink all of the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Fossilised Amber and stick them to the pale grey card. I would suggest you use wet glue at this stage to jiggle the panels until you are happy. You may need to cut the three piece of diagonal paper through the middle to ‘stretch’ them to fit.
Then use Tim Holtz craft pick to make a series of holes between the panels of paper and use those for faux stitching using a black pen.
Then add the panel of Yukon Gold card to the lower section of the 9” square.
Use an off-cut of the gold paper with squares and place this behind the photograph which will be matted on black card stock.
Add two small pieces of the clock paper cut from the branding strip from the tags paper either side of the photograph.
Next cut two tags of your choice and tuck those behind the Yukon Gold panel on the front of the grey card.
Add twine from your stash and embellish using items from your kit.
Add the entire panel to the gutted piece of Yukon Gold card.
