With Brave Wings She Flies by KERRY MCINALLY

For this layout I used the Blackbird and Passionate card stock, the Radiant Reflections and Feathered Friends patterned papers and a journalling card from the Lovely Layers patterned papers.  I also used three 2x2 photographs.
I began by taking an inch from two sides of the black card stock, distressing the edges and attaching it to the Passionate card stock.  Next I turned my attention to my photos.  I found a ‘with brave wings she flies’ card on the Radiant Reflections paper and trimmed this down to measure 2x2 also.  I attached all these onto some scrap white card, then onto black, then onto white and finally onto the black floral paper which I distressed.

I then cut two 8 inch by 2 inch strips of paper from the Feathered Friends pattern paper and made them into banners.  I distressed the edges of these two and also of a journalling card which I later trimmed down.

I then began to assemble my page.  I layered the two banner pieces to the top and bottom of my photos and attached the journalling piece to the right of my photo.  I used the piece of journalling card which I had cut away to the left bottom corner of my photos mats.  Next I used a branding strip under the pink check banner to bring some green to the bottom of the page.  I used the ‘love grows here" ephemera piece at the top right as my title and added the vellum leaf and bird to make a cluster.

Finally I added two of the fabric flowers, a puffy sticker and enamel dots.  I also added a few dots of glue and sprinkled on some black art sugar, which I haven’t used before.
