VIntage Travel note book layout by LOUISE CROSBIE

Hi again.
Today I’m sharing my second layout using the August ‘Scrapaholix kit’. And I’m back to a more vintage vibe and using a photo of my maternal grandmother this time.
I’ve used two of the papers here and also used some of the card for die cuts to make embellishments.
The bottom sheet has had nothing done to it except I went around the edges with vintage photo distress ink using a blending tool (or makeup sponge).
The second paper I used, I’ve only used part of it. I’ve torn off a strip then inked the edges again.
I cut three of the little card embellishments from the sheet and attached them to the main image focal point. Then I used some of the stickers on the supplied card to make a little phrase to add to the bottom of the layout. I’ve roughed up the edges on the phrase so it looks distressed but in the photo that just makes it look cut badly. It’s not … honest.
As well as pieces from the kit, I’ve included some Dusty Attic chipboard and some 49 and Market file frames. The moths were stamped out onto the white card and inked with distress oxide then some vintage photo ink around  the edges. The scraps of text paper I’ve had in my stash for over ten years and no longer know where i got it from.
I’ve got a fair few bits of the kit left so I think I will now either do a jumbo tag or a small 6x6 layout (or both) to use up more of the bits.
Thanks for stopping by.
Louise
