This is my third layout using the June kit, and I have mainly used scraps of paper from previous layouts.
I began by matting my two 3x4 photos on the green cardstock, I overlapped these slightly and placed them in the top left corner of some white cardstock. I then cut three strips, in total, from the green cardstock, the green gingham paper and a scrap of pink paper left over from my first layout. These strips measured from 8 to 9 inches and varied in thickness. I distressed the three strips and scalloped the edges of the gingham paper, I layered the three strips on top of each other and placed them under my photo.
I drew a light pencil line around the items I had placed so far and put them to one side, then using some Lindy's Magicals in teal, from my own stash, I painted a border around the pencil lines. I also painted a patch in the bottom right. Finally I added some splatters around the page.
I made two tags from scraps of light blue paper from previous layouts and I backed two rub on tickets onto some white cardstock.
Next I began to put my page together. I layered my tags and tickets around my photos and also used some additional scraps to add more interest to the left hand side of my photos. I used some ‘blossom tickets from my own stash to fill some gaps at the top and cut out the pink view finder image from the 2x2 elements. I adhered all this to the painted section on the top left of my page.
I added some fussy cut butterflies too.
Next I replicated my layered strips in the bottom right corner, using the same papers but cut in smaller lengths. I added a fussy cut 2x2 element and a few additional scraps to build up the cluster. I also added another ticket from my stash.
Finally I added some twine through the tag holes and looped them round, the title and a few black enamel dots, these items were from my stash.
