September Kit: 1st Layout by Elaine King.

First take the sheet of Carrot Cake card and gut a large central panel to leave a frame.
Next cut your Coconut Swirl card down to an 11” square. Mat the two together.
Now cut a diagonal section from the starry paper as per the photo- DO NOT stick it down yet 😜

Lightly mark an outline where the black paper is placed.
Select three Shimmerz Paints, I used Limoncello, Orange Sherbert and Bumbly Bee and, using the packaging technique, dab the three colours along the edges of the marked area. Full details of how to do this are in the process video linked at the bottom of the page.
Now stick the black starry paper over the dried Shimmerz Paints.
Mat your two photos onto scrap black paper leaving a thin border. Place them at angles to each other, one being raised slightly using 3D foam strips.
Take the branding strip from the Bold and Bright Pen Pal paper and add the circles side to the edge of the starry paper panel.
Next cut your piece of acetate into two strips of 3” x 12”. Keep one strip for future use. Then fussy cut all of the flowers you can from the remaining piece. Keep a couple of small flowers aside for future use too. Add the rest of the fussy cut flowers around the two photos. I raised some of them up slightly using clear acrylic glue from my own stash.
Now cut a 3” x 2” banner from the reverse of the Pen Pal paper and add it to the top right corner. Add two halves of small flowers to it. Then cut a small piece approx 2” x 1” and tuck it behind one of your photos to add some green into that area. This makes the page flow better.

Add a sticker from the Bo Bunny Brighton sticker book over the green piece for journaling.
Embellish the flowers clusters with ephemera from the kit. I used a large leaf and added word phrases from the Tim Holtz Idea-Ology word stickers.
Finally splatter the Shimmerz Orange Sherbert over the clusters to finish and add your own title.
