It almost feels like Summer here in Scotland, well as much of a Summer that we get. My garden looks lovely with all the colourful flowers, plants and veggies. They're attracting a lot of wildlife and I managed to get this photo of a gorgeous, fuzzy bee in my wildflowers. I don't usually make layouts but I really wanted to capture this photo and thought this month's kit would be perfect.
Crop your picture to 5x5 inches and adhere it to a piece of the white cardstock to make a layer. I love the little hearts on the bar of each paper so I cut two out and used them to make little tabs for the image.
Using a stencil from Fernwood and a Hickory smoke oxide ink I stencilled randomly over the 12 x 12 white cardstock. I faded it towards the edges.
I then added some vintage artistry washi tape shapes and some rub ons to make the first layer of the background. If you just put your image onto the page without adhering it you can work out where your pieces should go.
I cut a piece of the patterned side #5 paper to 51/2 x 7 inches and the other shapes out of the different papers. I edged all these pieces with the hickory smoke ink.
For my embellishments I used the "Perfect moments" and 2 of the flowers from the kit. I added some sparkly gems to the centres of the flowers. I also used a chipboard clock face from a previous kit and coloured it with ink.
Using my image as a guide I layered up all the paper pieces and adhered them to my cardstock.
I then added the embellishments. Lastly I added the date with a fineliner.
June kit & add on
