For this layout I used a 4x6 photo of my daughter which had been printed to give an aged look. I mounted the photo on some scraps of white and then black card.
I cut 1 inch from two sides of the Fawn cardstock and then placed this on top of a full sheet of the black card stock.
Next I cut 7 inch strips of the Authentic patterned paper and then used a notebook border punch, from my own stash, along one side. Then I distressed the edges using my distress tool. I used a film strip, from my own stash, along the left hand side of the Fawn card stock and then layered the ruler pieces on top of each other next to that.
I also cut a black film reel using a die from my own supplies and tucked it behind my layers and also added a piece I had left over from the view finder provided in the embellishments.
Next I placed some foam to the back of my photo and set it down in the middle of my ruler layers. I then began to embellish my page. I used a bulldog clip in the top left of my photo and the words hello from the chipboard pieces with the matching frame. I also used the word star underneath, partly attaching to my photo.
I used a few of the hearts around my film reel and some epoxy flair from my own stash in the bottom right and left, along with a metal piece.
