April's kit and add on kit are stunning this month and I've made two home tags with them to hang in my home.
My first step was to die cut two tags using a mixed media card. I then watercoloured loosely some Salvaged Patina and Saltwater Taffy oxide inks over them. I grabbed a cuppa so that they could dry properly.
Using a Finnabair lace stencil and the same colour oxide inks I stencilled randomly over the tags.
I wanted a few layers on the tags so I stencilled black ink through a speckles stencil and added some vintage rub on pieces. I also die cut the hole reinforcers and watercoloured them with the same inks then edged them in black ink.
For my first tag I ripped several strips from one of the panels of the beautiful journaling cards papers. I edged each strip with black ink.
I layered up some of the chipboard pieces and journaling panel strips, edging them in black ink first. Before adhering them all I splattered some white posca pen over the tag. I then arranged the pieces how I wanted them and then adhered them.
For my second tag I again added the strips of torn paper but used the leaf patterned paper.
I again chose some of the chipboard pieces and journaling strips and inked them in black ink. I also added some highlights with the white posca pen and the pink gem.
To finish off the tags I added some blue ribbon through the holes.
April kit and add on
Enjoy your weekend
