This month's kit has been a real challenge for me. I am so in love with the papers that all I've managed to do up and till now is just stroke them. So for the first part of this month I have just been shuffling papers around as I just could not get myself to cut into them.
Eventually, after finding very special photos I have managed to create my 1st DT page with the gorgeous April kits.
And yes you guessed it, I started off fussy cutting the beautiful floral paper from the Add-on kit called Fresh Floral.
I chose the white cardstock from the Main kit - Bazzill White OP cardstock for my background. The Garden Guru pattern paper from the Main kit I added as a border behind the white cardstock. I cut 1cm off each side of the white cardstock and then cut the middle out of the Garden Guru pattern paper as I wanted to save as much of the pattern paper as possible. (did I mention I am tempted to hoard this kit and just stroke it...)
Using my distress tool I roughed up the edges of both papers.
I cut the home banner from the Multi journaling cards pattern paper that is in the Main kit. I also made my own "chalkboard" piece using a section from the Multi journaling cards pattern paper and the Coral alpha stickers from the Add-on kit.
I am all heart eyes for the Green Tara mini rosebuds in the Add-on kit, which I think look absolutely gorgeous on my page. I have also used the stick on brads from the Add-on kit.
I backed my photo using one of the green Bazzill cardstock from the main kit and also added a layer of vellum, which is from my own stash.
I used sticky back foam on the photo and some of the elements to create dimension.
