Heartbeat by JACKIE BURTON

A second layout this month, no painting, texture paste, mists or chipboard etc. just scrapbooking.

I used Guacamole cardstock as my base for both pages and trimmed these with a ¼” strip of Sweetheart at the top and bottom. I matted my five 4”x3” photos on two pieces of Bark leaving a ” border all the way round. I cut two pieces from Be Safe to 8” x 6¼” and 8” x 9¼” and placed these next to the two photo mats. I cut another piece from Be Safe 4” x 9¼” and placed this reverse side up in the centre of the larger Be Safe piece on the right-hand page.

I cut two film strip pieces on my Silhouette Cameo from Blackberry Swirl, resized my photos so they would fit and added these to the two film strip pieces. I then added the film strips to the bottom of both pages lining them up against the strips of Sweetheart. I also cut a vintage TV and a Harry Potter Sorting Hat on my Cameo. I matted my journaling piece on a piece of Sweetheart and a piece of bark leaving a 1/16” border and ” border and tucked this underneath the righthand film strip on top of the strip of Be Safe. I then cut two heart borders from Walnut Cream cardstock and The Little Things and added these across the top of Be Safe pieces and the photo mats. I inked all the edges of my paper with vintage photo.

For the title I die cut the letters Heartbeat 3 times from Walnut cream and once from Blackberry Swirl and layered these so that the Blackberry Swirl letters were slightly offset to the right and bottom to create a shadow effect. Then I added my TV, sorting hat, flowers and a fridge magnet station sign I had purchased when we visited Goathland.

Wow I love this layout, the film strip is a fab idea and I love your chosen embellishments. Love that you added your journaling too. We went there ourselves many years ago and this brought back memories

Wow, what a fab layout. I love how you’ve used a filmstrip to show off your photos. The other embellishments and flowers are gorgeous and the whole layout is so eye catching x
