A new month and a new kit.
Let your creativity Bloom being the theme of the papers.
Another very fresh set of papers but very adaptable to my love of vintage.
I’ve made this layout using one sheet of the Bazzill and one sheet of the paper. I’ve also cut out one frame panel from the cut out sheet.
I used a craft knife to partially cut around the flowers on the frame panel so I could slip the photo under them.
I’ve torn the main sheet so I had two feature corners. I’ve scruffed up the paper edges and stained them with distress oxide ink. I then used the remaining middle bit of that same paper to tear out extra bits to slip just under the main floral part to make it look like there’s another sheet of paper underneath. It’s a bit of deception that it looks like I’ve used more paper than I have.
I’ve also used some torn book pages in the background and dripped tea stains all over it (avoiding the photo).
I added detail by using paper leaves and flowers, adding a phrase using some Stamperia chipboard sentiments, and extending the frame using one of the stitched frames from 49 and Market.
The final touch was to dry brush the flowers and leaves with some white gesso and then add some splatters of white gesso all over (I covered the photo and the chipboard phrase to avoid them getting splattered).
The overall effect is vintage but still quite soft and fresh I think.
