Floors Castle by Jackie Burton

The papers this month are from Amy Tangerine, Brave & Bold range. I really liked the papers with a mix of bright and dark colours. I love pink but I don’t have any girly photos so here is my double layout and after searching high and low for photos that I thought would go I am quite pleased with it…though I say it myself!

I did not add any extra chipboard pieces this month, no painting, just some extra flowers, die cutting and good old fashioned scrapbooking!

I used two 5.5” x 4” photos and three 3.5” square photos. I inked all the edges of the papers with frayed burlap.

My base is two sheets of Raven layered with Watermelon Sensation cut to 9⁷/₈” x 11” and 11½”x 11” and Midnight Garden cut to 9¹³/₁₆” x 10⁷/₈” and 11⁷/₁₆” x 10⁷/₈” . The two 5.5” x 4” photos I matted onto a piece of Raven measuring 5⁵/₈” x 8³/₁₆” and then layered on to a piece of Chill Out 7⅛” x 9⁵/₈”. I cut two pieces of Canvas 12” x 6” layered these on top of the Watermelon Sensation. I cut a border for the top from Aqua and a strip of Watermelon sensation. I matted the 3.5” square photos onto two pieces of Coconut Swirl leaving a ¹/₁₆” border and layered these on top of the Canvas along with the Chill Out mat. I then cut two swirls on my Silhouette Cameo from Watermelon Sensation, Aqua and Canvas (reverse side) and attached these to the bottom of the left-hand page of the Canvas piece and to the right hand side of the Chill Out mat. I die cut 3 butterflies (4 layers each) and finished these off with black pearls. I layered up the flowers from the kit with baby blue flowers and attached these to the top of the coconut swirl mat on the left-hand page and the bottom right of the Chill Out mat and attached two of the Brave and Bold puffy stickers to the centre. I used one of the journaling stickers on the left-hand page and used the stamp in the kit to stamp the date. I cut the title on my Silhouette Cameo from Raven and Watermelon Sensation. I finished off by adding a butterfly to the bottom left and two smaller ones onto the flowers.
