Easter Face Painting by KERRY MCINALLY

First of all I cut a 6x8 piece of the floral patterned paper, followed by a 4x6 piece of the pale blue patterned paper and a 9x4 piece of the Snapshot paper, the green side.  I distressed the edges of all three papers and made tags of the two narrower pieces.

I cut a 2 inch piece from the pale blue paper so I could layer it behind the other papers, making it look longer.  I backed my photo with a scrap of the Snapshot paper and then layered my cut pieces so that the two tags were to the right of the layout and the 6 by 8 piece lay across them.  I added ribbon, from my own stash,  to my tags and a brad from the kit.

My photo was added to the left of the 6x8 paper and I added a journalling card from the patterned paper to the right of that.  Using the alphabet sheet provided I added my title and date to this.  There were no full stops on the sheet so I used the popped out middles from some ‘0’s’.

Next I began to embellish my page.  I found a few things from my stash or previously used kits which matched the colours from this kit, these included an April and Ivy wreath piece which I cut in half to use in the top left and bottom right, a ticket, butterflies from a 49 and Market collection and some small flowers.  I also used pieces provided in the kit.  I fussy cut some cameras from the Snapshot paper also and raised these on foam.

Finally I added a few Nuvo drops from my own stash around the page.
