The January kit is so gorgeous and so versatile. I had so many ideas and photos to scrap with this kit I had a hard time narrowing it down. I settled on some fun photos of my daughter and me playing around and eating heart-shaped lollipops.
I started off with Bazzill White Op cardstock from the main kit as my background. I cut a piece of the Do Epic Stuff pattern paper from the main kit, about a 15cm piece of the We Belong pattern paper, so it would fit about half of my background page, from the add on kit and I also cut a strip of the B side of the Do Epic Stuff pattern paper. I distressed the edges with my distressing tool and placed them on the left side of my background paper, layering the Do Epic Stuff piece on top of the We Belong pattern paper and tucking the B side of the Do Epic Stuff paper underneath on the right side. Before sticking them down I measured where I wanted my stamping to go and drew a border line with my pencil.
I have a very old, I think it's old as I have never used it before, stamp in my stash which I thought would tie-in the two sides of my layout nicely bringing the elements together, I used my stamping platform and black ink from my stash.
I then used what was left of the Do Epic Stuff pattern paper and fussy cut out all the leftover butterflies.
I used the sticker sheet from the add-on kit, which has such gorgeous and fun elements in it. I like to stick my stickers onto cardstock and then cut them out so that I can move them around like ephemera before committing to where I want them.
I backed my photos onto white cardstock and with sticky back foam. Some of the sticker elements I also backed with sticky back foam from my stash creating a bit of dimension on my page. I love sticking my butterflies only in the middle so that I can lift their wings for more dimension on my page and it looks like they are fluttering about on the page.
I love how this page turned out, fun and playful.
All elements are from the main kit and the add-on kit, except for the stamp / ink and sticky back foam.
Happy Scrapping xx
Charleen
