There are so many beautiful elements in this month's kit that I struggled to get started as I wanted to use it all on my first page. It was a difficult choice but in the end everything came together quite easily.
I have been so inspired by all the gorgeous wreath type layouts recently that I decided to make one of my own. I chose the Morceaux Choisis pattern paper from the add on kit as my background paper. I used a side plate and drew around it lightly with a pencil, knowing I was going to cover the pencil line. I then used my "pokey" tool and made holes around the circle. I find making the holes first easier than trying to go straight through with a needle. After making the holes I hand sewed the circle for the base of my wreath.
I then used a crafting blade and cut the detail from the pattern paper so that it would lift out of / off the page, to create a little more interest and dimension to the page.
I just could not resist fussy cutting some of those beautiful leaves from the pattern paper called Tourbillon from the main kit. I have used these fussy cut leaves on my page as embellishments for around my wreath.
I then backed my photos with white tissue paper from my stash and then used the cinnamon stick cardstock under the tissue paper as my second layer behind my photos. I then used my distressing tool to rough up the edges of the cinnamon stick cardstock.
To finish off my page I used the alpha stickers from the add on kit for my title. I roughed them up a bit to give the letters and the title a bit more character. I used two beautiful butterflies from the Prima Flowers Range that is available at The Mad Scrapper. These photos were taken while my daughter and I had gone looking for chestnuts. We came across so many beautiful treasures while on our walk.
Happy Autumn xx
