Be Happy and Smile by Kerry Mcinally

For this layout I used the craft cardstock and typeset patterned paper.
I began by trimming the right angled blue section from the typeset paper, I then distressed the edges and used a distress stain in walnut from my stash to add definition.  I laid these shapes down with a small gap in between and then trimmed off a piece from each to create a diagonal line from the top right to bottom left.

I matted my photo, which was 4x4, with some white cardstock and used some double sided foam to raise it slightly from the cardstock.  I placed my photo in the bottom right.

I used the off cuts from the paper to make three chevrons for each side of the photograph and then used some of the black splotches from the Paperie pieces supplied with the kit and various other pieces to add to the photograph mat and layout.

I used the be happy and smile piece from the sticker pack and then finished with my own enamel dots.
