Adventure Together by CHARLEEN WALES

I'm not sure if I have already mentioned, in my last couple of posts, how much I am enjoying using squares on my pages and I just couldn't resist this time either.
Before even giving my page much thought I had decided it would be a grid layout using squares.
I started off by choosing a white background, I used the AC solid white cardstock that is available from The Mad Scrapper. I cut 1cm off each side of the white cardstock and then chose the Wild Branches Pattern Paper from the Add-On kit for my border around the white cardstock. I cut the middle out of the Wild Branches as I knew I was going to use it.
I cut squares of 5x5cm from the Wild Branches Pattern Paper and the Moon Flower Pattern Paper which is also from the Add-On Kit. I printed my photos in the same size. I distressed all the edges of the 5x5cm square papers.
I then got to work on the gorgeous chipboard leaves in the Main Kit. I first blended some colour onto them using my Distress Oxides, which are available from The Mad Scrapper. Once they were dry I added some Art Alchemy metallique wax vintage gold very lightly with a small paintbrush. It's given the leaves a slight shimmer effect.
I decided to add some stamping on my background using my Distress Oxide Ink Pads and some old stamps from my stash. Once my stamping was dry I added some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Gold splatters to my background.
I layered up the squares and backed my photos. I also used sticky back foam to create dimension on my page.
I love the sticker sheet that is in the Add - On Kit, and I used a few of the little banner quotes and tags.I distressed all the edges to create texture on my page and couldn't resist those cute puffy hearts.
I hope you enjoyed reading how this came together as much as I enjoyed making it.
Happy Scrapping xx
