3rd layout using the August kit: By Elaine King

Elaine is here with her last “August kit” project. It’s a star of a project. Here’s how she did it.

Take the sheet of Raven card stock from the kit and use a template to draw around some star shapes ensuring you only draw from the top point to the centre of the star at the bottom.

Cut around each half of the star and fold the loose flap back on itself.
Cut your photograph into a star shape and use a larger star as the mat. I used the gold leafy paper.
Cut a star shape from the gold leafy paper four times at the same size as the stars you have cut from the Raven card stock. Cut three of the stars in half and leave the small star complete for later. Stick half of the gold paper star to the black Raven star ‘flap’ that you have created (as per my photo.)
Add the small complete star to the bottom left-hand point of your main photograph that has been matted. Raise this on foam pads for dimension.
Use the Tim Holtz Small Talk word stickers to embellish and use scraps of the patterned paper to go behind the stars in the empty void.  I used the Zig 2 way glue on the reverse side to stick the paper scraps in place.
Embellish using your own stash, or I found that the 49 and Market Krafty Garden goes perfectly with this collection!
Add your title and a large butterfly cut from one of the sections of the cut apart sheet.
Finally add gold splatters of Lindy’s Stamp Gang, Moon Shadow in Gossamer gold.
