Fortune Card and Tag: By Louise Crosbie

Fortune Card and Tag: By Louise Crosbie

I’ve fallen in love with the new Fortune range by Stamperia.
I sort of feel like I’m getting two themes for the price of one. While it’s all technically a mysterious fortune theme, half of it is all crystal balls, gems and tarot cards and the other half is absolutely oozing with ancient Egyptian vibes.
I’ve started with some of the more Egyptian looking papers. I found the background papers to be the most Egyptian looking papers.

The card was inspired by a card I received more than 15 years ago from a lady called Jo Capper-Sandon  (hope I've spelled that correctly lol) . It had the layers of torn papers which I decided to use in my card.
Everything is from the 8x8 backgrounds pad except the Raven (or is it a crow! Or a rook? I never know.)  That was taken from the ephemera pack.

The cat tag also utilised the 8x8 papers, some rubons and a large cat from the slightly thicker chipboard embellishments . But this time, I made my own background using the stencil, some magicals and some distress oxide ink.

I made the background on some water colour paper which I’d cut into a tag shape and when the tag was complete I used a sheet of Bazzill card stock to make a slightly larger tag to layer the main one onto.

OK, now I want to shift the look and go do something with crystal balls and tarot cards lol.
