Hello there,
Today I‘m here with another layout from my holiday in the USA.
This layout shows us at the scrapbooking show held in Puyallup, the area I was staying at. I have used papers available from Janine along with snippets of the show guide and cool phrases from a sheet of paper I bought there, (You may see them popping up in more of the layouts I share!)
A full supply list can be found at the bottom of the post.
I had kept a half sheet of Kaisercraft Crafternoon paper for some years and I just knew I wanted to use it here.
I pulled the pale green to use as my border but not before I gutted out a portion from the left to use as mats. I also used a half sheet of Summer Porch Take Flight paper which I added distress ink to through a stencil. I used the tapestry stencil as I thought it looked a little like the pattern on my top. I also added the merchandise strip from Plum Grove - Blossom with added stitching on it to hide the gaps where the papers were joined.
This photo shows us arriving at the show all excited to get in just ten minutes after the doors opened! This is Karen and myself looking all fresh. You can see I've added a skinny strip of the merchandising strip from T
ake Flight because it was in red, white and blue.
I printed my journaling to make sure I could get plenty written down.
This is Alyson and myself at the end. We'd been there for seven hours! I think if someone could have, they'd have gone back again the following day (Karen). Our bags were full of some excellent goodies
Here is my stash, they wouldn't take photos of theirs because it was twice the size of mine lol. The phrase is from the merchandise strip from the Crafternoon paper. I thought it was quite apt. Lots of vendors gave away badges to keep or fridge magnets. One even gave away a decent tote bag.
Once we got back to Alyson's we opened a bottle of wine along with chips n dips and sat in the sun. Then it was time to go in and check out or stashes. Such a wonderful day. I just had to preserve it on a layout.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope I've inspired you to get down your memories on a page along with memorabilia you've saved of the day. Do call in to see Janine for papers to go with your event. If that’s not possible, then go to the online shop and see her full selection there.
Sue.
