Magical Discs: by Louise Crosbie
Hi there.
Today I am sharing a project I made that was inspired by a challenge Nuneka Box set a while ago. It was to do a composition on a circle measuring 13cm and to use Lindy’s products.
It’s not a very big circle but it’s surprising how much you can fit on to it.
I actually did two to try out different colour schemes and designs.
I made my backgrounds using Lindy’s Magicals, some stamping, embossing, and some stencilling. Then I built up the composition using ephemera and Diecuts by Stamperia.
The steampunk one used the adhesive ephemera from the “Song of the sea” range and the pretty butterflies and flowers came from the “Fantasy World” set.
I’m very much in love with both of these ephemera packs and I’ve bought multiples of both.
I admit that I’ve used more than one set of magicals to make my backgrounds. Not exactly budget friendly if you’re just starting your Lindy’s adventures. But you can get beautiful effects from just one set. Each colour in a set is designed to compliment the rest of the colours. And you can mix them together to create new colours too. Just as you would with paints.
Sadly the photos don’t catch the Lindy’s Magicals shine and sparkle. But they are lovely when they catch the light.
If you’re looking to learn more about how to use Magicals, and other Lindy’s products, they have a great YouTube channel with lots of helpful videos and, of course, their wonderful designer, Nuneka, also has a YouTube channel with lots of beautiful inspiring videos.
