Hello Book Lover by KAREN MOSS

Although, our daughter has always loved to read, I was surprised to realise just how many books she has in her home. In fact, almost every windowsill or flat surface is filled with books, far more than are featured on this layout. She reads both physical books and e-books on her Kindle and more often than not, if she has any spare time, she can be found with a book of some sort or another in her hand.

For this layout, I started with a sheet of ARToptions Alena – Peek-A-Boo and added three small double frames from ARToptions Alena Ephemera Bits, placing a 2in x 2in photo behind each, and stuck them diagonally down my page from right to left. I cut one of the red frames, from the cut-a-part, which forms the packaging of the ARToptions Alena Laser Cut Outs – Elements and added a 3in x 3in photo to this.

I added butterflies, flowers and leaves from ARToptions Alena Laser Cut Outs – Elements, along the right side of my frames and added a couple of flowers and a few butterflies along the left of the top two frames.

My title was the word ‘hello’ from ARToptions Alena Laser Cut Outs – Elements and ‘Book Lover’ was cut from white card on my Silhouette.

To finish my page, I placed the phrase ‘be happy be you’ from ARToptions Alena Laser Cut Outs – Elements at the bottom of my larger photograph and added a ARToptions Alena Chipboard Pieces phrase to the left of the second frame and the right of the third frame. Finally, I used the chipboard tab with ‘Embrace Life’ at the bottom left of my photo.
