Hallowe’en’s coming. Yay.
I love autumn and I love Halloween (hallowe’en) as crafting themes, so today I’m sharing a scrapbook layout with you that incorporates both these seasonal themes.
I started with my vintage image as my main inspiration then went to the Mad Scrapper Shop (lucky enough to have gone in person to the actual shop) to start choosing complimentary supplies.
I’ve used a sheet of Blue Fern Studios paper (mini remnants) as I liked the darker reverse side of it. And I started by adding some texture paste through a stencil.
I’ve used 49 and Market flowers, some Dusty Attic embellishments, scraps of old paper, some leaves die cut using seasonal coloured card stock and some paint splatters.
When my texture paste dried, I layered on scraps of old paper and bits of card and luggage tags in the area I intend to put my main image.
I put a thin layer of gesso on then some watery orange paint and a few little areas of watered down Prussian blue.
When it dried I started building up layers with my image and the flowers etc.
I did dry brush my flowers with white gesso then grunged them up a bit with some vintage photo distress ink before adding them.
I had some orange butterflies in my stash which I added and I used some Dusty Attic spooky words and a little pumpkin before finishing it all off with some splatters of orange, Prussian blue and black watered down paint...
Supply List.
