Fortune Folio: By Louise Crosbie

Fortune Folio: By Louise Crosbie

At June’s Craft Club, we all made folios inspired by the tutorial by Paco Nuñez from Stamperia. We each chose our own papers and I decided to use the main paper set from the Fortune collection. And I chose to use the single sided ones so I wasn’t covering up anything lovely and I didn’t have to choose which side I liked best lol.

I am a fan of this set. Mostly because I feel it offers two very distinctive themes within the main mystic theme. I made a card and tag from the background paper set and they had a very “ancient Egypt” vibe about them. Where as, I was able to focus purely on the more obvious “Fortune teller” vibe on the main papers. I love that crystal ball.

Paco’s tutorial for the basic structure can be found on Stamperia’s YouTube channel.
Once I had made my folio out of Fawn Bazzill card, I cut my papers to size, then distressed the edges and inked them with a blending tool and Vintage Photo ink.

I glued or taped the decorative papers into place then added rubons, ephemera and diecuts to decorate it a bit more.

I know people use albums and folios to display photos etc but I can’t bring myself to cover the lovely papers yet again. So I’ll be making some kind of flap things that I can attach the photos to. That way I can lift the flap up and still see my lovely papers.
