Folio by Louise Crosbie.

Folio by Louise Crosbie.

Hello again.

In a very ‘out of character’ move, I’ve been making and decorating folios this week. Who would have thunk it? 😂

Originally inspired by a folio made by Paco Nuñez, who designs for Stamperia, I decided to give it a go for myself. I’m possibly folio addicted now. And I’m going to be doing a Folio for Craft Club in June!

I’m always buying paper sets and never using them and this is an ideal way to use them for folks like me that don’t have the patience (or paper craft skill level) to make and complete a whole album.

I’ve had this “Sleeping Beauty” paper for a very long time. I’d used some of it but felt I had enough to cover a folio. It required some patching but it turned out ok.

Basically, all I needed was paper, card, glue and tape.
obviously a paper cuter and scorer are helpful but it can still be done with scissors (or craft knife)  and a ruler .

warning…. Get ready for a ton of photos

My intention is to do a similar folio for Craft Club in June.

The cost will cover all the card and magnets to construct the folio and you can then either, bring along your own paper collection of choice or you can buy a collection in the shop while you’re at Craft Club.
We will build the base folio and cut our papers to do the basic covering. Then you can embellish it in your own time in your own way.

I’ve kept this one simple so you can see the basic design. But my next blog post will show the second folio I did using different papers and I went to town decorating the front cover. I even reverted to a little bit of mixed media on it.

supply list

12x12 Stamperia papers “Sleeping Beauty”. (We only have 8x8 in stock right now but they’re ideal for a smaller folio)
