Hello Mad Scrappers! Now that the sun has finally started to peek out from behind the clouds and it's getting a little warmer, everything feels a bit more cheerful. I'm not normally one for florals but when I saw the new Simple Stories collection and the bright, happy flowers, I knew they'd be perfect for a little mini album full of joyful, positive quotes and sentiments.
I used the 4X6 Sn@p flipbook and started with some paint splashes of watered down Lime green acrylic paint for a little background colour on the cover. I then layered a chipboard frame, die cuts and flowers to create the front cover decoration. I added a dab of Golden dragon effect paste here and there to create a little sparkle and finished off by wrapping a ribbon around the black binding of the cover.
For the pages, I cut pieces of the papers to size and placed these into the plastic pockets. I added the page decorations on the outside of the pockets so that they wouldn't become too bulky and so I could easily swap out the notes and quotes I'd be putting in the pockets. I cut the chipboard frames to the right size for the pockets and used Finnabair 3D gel to glue these and the diecuts on for decoration.
This is a really quick and simple little mini album but I wanted the focus to be on those lovely bright flowers and the sentiments that I'll fill the book with over the year.
Supplies used:
Blue Fern Studio flowers- the ones I used are sold out now but
