Hi everyone.
I’ve made a start on the lovely blue and white dominant “welcome winter” monthly kit.
As ever, I don’t have actual photos to use yet (although I had a couple that are of snowy scenes taken near my house). In the absence of family photos I’ve resorted to another of my vintage photos. She seemed to suit the theme.
I used some dies to cut out seasonal leaves and a pair of ice skates from the sparkly glitter card. Then I painted some Dusty Attic chipboard (icicles, snowflakes and a frame,) with white gesso (it needs a couple of coats before it looks really white).
I just built up layers behind the photo using the leaves, some sheet music ephemera and the snowflakes. To give a nice full surround. I added lots of white paint splatters as well as letting some white paint run out from behind the photo.
I think it gave it a nice snowy feel.
I added the ice skates and some of the cut out ephemera from the papers and sprinkled glamour dust glitter over it.
A nice wintery layout.
Thanks for looking. I hope it helps you think about what to add to your own layouts using this kit.
Supply list:
Paper from the kit. And some elements cut from the papers
Vintage photo, die cuts and ephemera from my personal supplies.
