There are so many Beautiful Reasons to be Happy by KERRY MCINALLY
In general I steer clear of papers with wreath designs on. They’re beautiful but I never know what to do with them. So when I saw the wreath on the ‘Celebrate Life’ paper my first thought was to use the other side. However I set myself a challenge, this time I was going to use it!
I began by cutting around the outside of the wreath fussy cutting the various leaves.
I then used a side plate, 8 inches approximately, to cut out the central white piece, and then fussy cut along the leaves on the inside edge.
Using a little water to wet the circular white piece I curled the edges inwards slightly to show the green side of the paper and then adhered this piece to the Sea Glass cardstock.
I then put some foam on the back of my wreath and adhered that to the cardstock.
I backed my photo with the blue side of the elements sheet and backed that on foam too.
Then I looked at embellishments. I cut out the flowers and butterflies from the 2x2 cards, I also cut out the ‘never forget this’ sentiment from a 4x4 card and the ‘there are many beautiful reasons to be happy’ sentiment from another 4x4 card. I used some scrap white card stock to rub on the camera motif from the rub on sheet and then cut it out. I attached these to various areas around the photo and wreath.
Finally I cut out some of the smile phrases from the word sheet and glued these above my photo.
