This month's kit is just right for some Summer crafting. I made these two easy, quick cards from the kit and add on. You could easily adapt them into scrapbook pages. For both my cards I used 14.8x14.8 cms blank, white cards.
Focus on the Good
Cut a piece of the lemon cardstock to 14.5x14.5 cms. Cut a piece of the Make Your Mark paper to 14x14 cms.
Using one of the Sweet Rush stencils and a Peacock Feathers oxide ink stencil through randomly onto the Make Your Mark paper. Adhere to the lemon cardstock.
Fussy cut some of the flowers from the Garden Variety paper and edge with the same ink. In the add on kit you get some die cuts so I chose sunglasses, a lolly and an orange. I also edged these with ink. I picked out some of the papers and die cut three different sized circles and edged them in ink.
I placed the flowers around the outside of the Make Your Mark layer and adhered them with glue. To adhere the die cuts I used 3D foam to make them stand out.
I used one of the quote chips for the main sentiment and inked the edges. In my Sweet Rush sticker book I found some appropriate sayings and edged them in ink and adhered them to the card. I then adhered the layers to the blank, white card.
Life Doesn't Have To Be Perfect
Cut a piece of the Rain card to 14.5x14.5 cms. Cut a piece of the Garden Variety to 14.2x11 cms and the Sweet Talk to 14.2x5.5. When cutting the Garden Variety make sure to include the flower border.
Using a Sweet Rush stencil I randomly stencilled the butterfly with Picked Raspberry oxide ink.
Ink all the edges of the papers with the Picked Raspberry ink. Adhere the pieces to the blank, white card.
There are some really lovely die cuts in the add on kit, I chose some and inked the edges.
Arrange your die cuts and adhere to the card. I then chose one of the quote chips and inked the edges and adhered to the bottom of the card.
