I’m not a regular part of the Scrapaholix design team anymore as I had too many craft commitments, but, Janine suggested I might be the resident guest designer when the monthly kit really appealed to me and was too much for me to resist 😂
And the August kit is just such a kit. Full of vintage goodness.
As a steampunk fan and regular participant in the steampunk community, I love having papers I can feature photos of my steampunk friends (and, in this instance, me).
The colour tones were perfect for this photo of me (with a fake backdrop).
I didn’t need to add any embellishments other than those in the kit. And I used some of the card included in the kit to die cut some gears and a clock at no extra expense.
And by coating the paper with clear gesso first, I was also able to use some paint dribbles and splatters.
I’m really pleased with how this turned out.
I’m off to go and use more of the papers on something else. Maybe a layout, maybe not a layout. Maybe something different. 🤔
Supplies needed
The Scrapaholix August main kit, and August add on kit.
Glue (I used Stamperia extra strong glue but any good glue will be fine)
Liquid acrylics: Ink Black, Burnt Sienna
