Large decorative tag by SHARON NETTLESHIP

Large decorative tag by SHARON NETTLESHIP

Here's my second project using the beautiful October kit and add on.

First I die cut two tags. Not being too specific I inked the tags with oxide inks.  I then embossed them using a 3D texture fade from Tim Holtz. I also added a little silver wax over the surface using my finger.

As I had used a set of layered dies I used a larger one to make a bigger layer for each of the tags in the blackbird cardstock. On the Elegance Elegance paper there is a little decorative strip so I added this to the bottom of my tag to make a decorative band. To match it with the background I lightly added a little oxide ink and some of the silver wax. I placed some of the rub on stitching onto the tag too. I did the exact same thing to the smaller tag.

For the central panel which was for the larger tag I cut out one of the blocks from the Elegance Lovely paper and layered it onto the Blackbird cardstock. I used a stencil with some texture paste to add a bit of texture to the piece and when this was dry I lightly applied some oxide ink and a stitched rub-on piece. With the kit you get some lovely clock faces and I used one of them to add a bit of depth. I smeared some texture paste onto it and then coloured it with the same oxide ink. I then added the flower. This panel was then adhered to the embossed tag.

For the smaller tag I used a piece from the Elegance Delightful paper and lightly added some of the silver wax. I also added two of the silver pearl gems.

Holes were punched at the top of each tag. I added a little adhesive to the back of the smaller tag to hold it onto the larger one and then threaded a piece of ribbon through them both.

Hope all is ok with you ☺️
