I began by matting a 4x6 photo with the Lagoon cardstock  and some scraps of Winter Blues and the Journal Elements patterned paper.

I then cut two banner pieces one measuring 10.5 by 2.5 inches, and another measuring 8 inches by 3 inches - I distressed the edges and attached them to the Twill card stock making an ‘L’ shaped pattern.

Next using an 8inch plate I cut a circle from the sledging side of the Journal Elements paper.  I had torn a piece from this, but the torn piece will be hidden.  I distressed the edges and attached to the ‘L’ shape.

I then used two frames, from my own stash, from the Moonlit Garden range.  I placed these on top of the banner pieces.

I raised my photograph onto foam and placed it at a slight angle on my layout.  I tucked a journalling card under the photo.

I cut out the ‘our favourite days are snow days’ from one of the 3x4 cards and raised it on foam.  I also added a chipboard piece and some snowflakes from the foam sticker sheet.
