Best Friends journal by SHARON NETTLESHIP

This month's kit and add on is absolutely beautiful and I knew it would be just right for a simple stories file journal.

For my first pages I cut 2 of the Lagoon card to 6 x 8 inches. I then used a stamp and oxide ink to randomly stamp over the card.

I used a punch to cut 2 different sizes of circles in the lovely rose and black and white papers. I cut some of them in half and arranged them over the two pages. I added a little strip of the rose paper to the right hand side to tie it all in. I then added a panel to the right hand page for either photos or journalling. Next I added some of the stickers from the Element stickers. To finish these pages off I used the These Days title stickers, happy and together.

I cut the white cardstock to 6 x 6 inches and used a stencil and oxide ink over them.

I then cut a panel out of the black and white patterned paper. This is for photos. I adhered it to the bottom corners. For the next layer I cut out two of the pieces from the So Lucky paper. I made a little 1/2 cm crease along the sides to be able to glue it to the stencilled page. This creates a little flap which could be used for hidden photos or journalling. I then cut out two tags from the Do Epic Stuff papers and again made a little crease to be able to make a flap and adhere it to the stencilled page. I added some fun stickers to them too. And to finish off I added stickers in the corners of the page.

For the top layer I die cut two tags out of the almond cream card and added cards from the We Belong and So Lucky papers. I then randomly stamped the flower stamp in the oxide ink onto the tag. Next I added some of the stickers.

I love this kit, it's ideal for photos and journalling. And it's also ideal for making a layered journal. My journal is by no means finished these friends pages are just the start!
