Benllech by KERRY MCINALLY
So, I don’t know about everyone else, but the first thing I do when arrive on holiday is take photos of our accommodation before we’ve had the chance to make it ‘homely’!
My photos for this layout are of a lovely Welsh bungalow which we went to with my mum.
I began by cutting 9, 1 inch strips from the green and beige patterned papers of.which I distressed the edges of 7 with my edge distresser.
Next I cut a 4 inch strip of the green woodgrain paper, I used a border punch to create a pattern on two of the 1 inch strips and adhered this to the woodgrain piece.
I began to layer the remaining strips around three sides of my page and put the woodgrain piece at an angle.
Next I looked through my scraps bin and backed my 3, 3x2 photos with some sage green scrap paper. I tucked these photos into the various layers at the bottom of my page.
Then also from the green woodgrain paper I cut out a clock which said ‘home sweet home’. I tucked this above the three photos.
Finally I embellished my page using the leaf washi and the various flowers which I had fussy cut from a previous layout. I added two of the phrase chipboard pieces and the place name ‘Benllech’ using the Alpha stickers provided in the kit.
