You Have My Heart Layout by KAREN MOSS
Our daughter is an only child but we have always had one or two dogs all through her childhood, which she loved like siblings, they were her constant companion whilst growing up. Our latest dog, Darcey, is no exception and although Gracia lives in Newcastle, when together they never miss an opportunity to give each other cuddles.
I chose a piece of Spectrum Sherbet Painted Foundations Rainbow as the base for my layout and decided to use it with the blue at the top (upside down). I knew wanted to try to have a separation of colours on my page, with green and yellow on one side and pink and orange on the other. Unfortunately, I had used most of the green elements from my tag pack, so as a compromise trimmed ½ in from all sides of the Rainbow paper and mounted it onto a piece of Spectrum Sherbet Speckled paper (reverse side) to bring some extra green into my page.
I started by using five pennants in the top right corner, topped with a label and a phrase for my title. Next, I printed out four 2in x 2in photos. I added two behind frames and one onto a rectangle piece from the Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera bits pack and the final onto a green tag.
I placed these at the centre of my page and used tags and die-cuts from the Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera bits pack and Tag Set to build clusters around each of the photographs.
As a final touch I added the phrase ‘all good things’, from the Strawberry Lemonade Ephemera bits pack, to the centre of my page.
I have used lots of foam pads to add height and dimension to my page with elements piled two and three layers high.
