Hello Again!

Here I am sharing a new layout for The Mad Scrapper Blog and I've called it Together. It shows myself and 2 sisters on the pier at Llandudno this last July. As we all live miles apart, we hardly ever get together so this photo means a lot to me.
So firstly we will need to choose our papers from the amazing selection found in store or online at The Mad Scrapper. Today I have chosen Chiffon/Canvas by Bazzill, Vintage Artistry Beached - Palm , and a page out of the Vintage Artistry Butter Collection . There are a couple of single sheets available in store if you don't want the full kit but then who wouldn't?!
I started with the plain yellow sheet and removed a 10cm circle from the centre, distressed the edges and popped my photo behind. I did place an A4 sheet of paper behind to keep it in place.
Then I took the palm paper and cut it to 11 3/4inch square and used a punch down 2 sides but it took off a little too much so I squared it off again. From the centre of that I cut an 11cm circle, distressing the edges also. Then on the 2 sides I didn't punch I stitched using lemon and lime embroidery thread. I attached it to the yellow with tacky glue making sure to centre over the photo.
Now I take the paper called Garden Notes which has a very pale flower on it. Trimming it down to 10 1/4inch square I cut out a circle from the centre of 12cm. I decided to use a stencil from my stash which has flowers on it and inked using 2 blues and a green "distress* ink . As you can see I stitched again and also tore 3 areas tucking behind the other side of the Palm paper which has summer definitions on it. This layer I added thin cardboard behind for sturdiness sticking it to the Palm paper with glue again. I also took a few sections of Geometric Panel , which I covered in white gesso and then embossed in white powder and a touch of brown too. I thought it sort of matched the railings behind us.
Photo 5, 6, 7 & 8 show close ups of the flowers  I have used Enchanted Petals - Parchment Flower Mini Series 01 - Cobalt Royal Posies – Ocean Jade Royal Spray – Ocean Jade Mini Flowers - Bright Blue Tones . I also cut a few leaves from the Palm paper and pushed them under the flowers as well as some spare stamens. The title is cut from the info strip and added to some yellow, I also used a tab from Vintage Artistry Beached Ephemera Bits and a butterfly saved from Simple Vintage Cottage Fields - Hello Happy  which I lifted on foam before adding glitter glue down its body. To finish I used Nuvo drops in black, lime green and yellow.
Thanks for stopping by today, do call in at the shop be it online or the bricks and mortar to see all these beautiful things and then many more. Leave a word or two so I know who's been.
Till next time, take care.

Sue.
