Book of Magic: Journal Cover by Louise Crosbie.

Hi there.
I’ve been giving one of my art journals a bit of a makeover.

It somehow feels more inspiring to work in if it’s a bit magical on the outside instead of simply ‘Kraft brown’ coloured. 

I used some of my Finnabair supplies for it and I was motivated to get it done when Anna (Finnabair) set her Patreons a little ‘book of magic’ challenge last month.

I started by adding texture through a stencil using Modelling Paste and then I attached all my resin and metal embellishments using Heavy Body Gel. 
When the gel had dried and all my embellishments were secure, I painted it all over with Impasto Paint.
