Prima Moon Child tags by LORI WOODS

Hello Mad Scrappers! Today I'd like to share some tags I made with the oh so pretty Prima Moon Child collection. It's an older collection but the colours and patterns are just lovely to use.
I started by cutting out two tag shapes from plain cardstock and created a background on these using Antique Linen Distress Oxide and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks spritzed with some water. I then cut some pieces of the papers and layered these onto the tags, with a main image that would act as the focal point. I used resin to make two large frames from the Finnabair Grungy Frames mould - the first one I painted with Dusty Rose Impasto paint and Martian Magenta from the Outer Space magicals collection by Lindys, and the second frame I painted with Linen Impasto and Walnut Distress stain. I finished off both frames with a dry brush of white gesso to highlight the details.
I attached the frames to the tags with heavy body gel and then started to add the details. I cut out butterflies, moons and flowers from the papers and placed these around the frames. On the first tag I used a flourish stencil and crackle paste to create some added dimension and finished with some pebbles painted with Crocus Fields metallic paint and Violet glass glitter. On the second tag I stamped some areas of the background using a gothic text stamp from Finnabair and brown archival ink, then placed some cheesecloth and art stones around the edges of the frame to create some texture, and coloured these with the Walnut Distress stain. A flower from the Moon Child collection was attached to the frame, and both tags were finished off with a lace knot.
I hope these tags provide some inspiration for you!
