Mixed media canvas by LORI WOODS

Hello Mad Scrappers! Today I have a mixed media canvas for you using lots of lovely paints and textures combined with Dusty Attic chipboards.
I started by giving my base a quick coat of white gesso and then used paper paste and graphite paste along with the gothic stencil to create areas of texture. I then gave everything a coat of linen impasto paint, applied more thickly in some places and used the brush to leave visible strokes.
While that was drying I assembled elements from the Dusty Attic Industrial collection- border #2, globes #2, and globes #3 together and gave these a coat of Brass Hardware metallic paint then attached these elements to the base with heavy body gel.
I applied brown rust paste to the base and the chipboard, thickly in some areas and diluted with water in other areas to create a patchy effect. I sprinkled Lindy's Industrial Chic magicals over the chipboard bulbs and spritzed them with water to create a shimmer of colour around the bulbs. I finished everything off with a few dabs of jade impasto paint  and a dry brush of gold rust paste around the mechanical elements to give a patina effect.
I hope this gives you some inspiration for adding mixed media effects to your projects :)

This looks sooo good. Looks like it’s been brought up from the seabed 👍🏻
