Hello You by KAREN MOSS

Our first grandchild is on his way and we couldn't be more excited. Although, we live a long way from our daughter and son-in-law, they try to involve us as much as possible - always sending the baby scans and keeping us updated on his progress. Of course, as a scrapbooker, I have to use these scans for my pages - until I have photos of him, once he is born!!!

For this page, I started by cutting out the circle from 49 and Market Painted Foundations - Color Wheel and trimming a piece from one side.

I then laid this onto the left side of a piece of 49 and Market Painted Foundations Array and drew around the shape, I set the circle aside and used watered down Distress Oxide inks to make splatters around the drawn circle in Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Carved Pumpkin, Fired Brick and Candied Apple.

Next I used a circle stitching template to make holes and used black verigated thread to stitch around the circle. Before adding the piece of Color Wheel paper I used black stitch rub-ons and black text rub-ons, both from the Gardenia 6 x 8 rub on set, to add more interest to the background.

After adding my Color Wheel circle, back to my page I added some leaves and flowers, from 49 and Market Spectrum Gardenia Ephemera Bits, some laser cut butterflies and some washi sticker butterflies. I mounted two 3" x 4" photos onto black card and placed centrally on the Color Wheel.

To finish, I added a title from a pack of Spectrum Gardenia Chipboard Words and a phrase from the ephemera bits.
