This is my second project that I am sharing with you as a guest designer for the Mad Scrapper. This time I am sharing an album I made from scratch using the Stamperia Alice in Wonderland 12x12 paper pad.
If you are new to album making, but would like to have a go at making your own, then I would thoroughly recommend you have a look at RosaKellyScrapbooking on YouTube for really easy tutorials to follow. Otherwise, The Mad Scrapper stocks ready made albums and folios that could be used for a similar look.
I love the graphics of these papers, based on the original Alice in Wonderland illustrations by Sir John Tenniel. They take me right back to my childhood and bedtime reading.
This album cover measures 7.75 inches by 5.75 inches and is constructed chipboard sheets and black cardstock. The inside pocket pages measure 7 by 5.5 inches. This allowed me to cover 2 sides of a pocket with one sheet of the 12x12 design paper, with a little left over for decoration of pockets etc.
I used Aleen’s Original Tacky Glue on the cover and base pages (nice and thick so it doesn’t crinkle the cardstock) and Scor-tape to attach the design papers.
I also distressed the pages with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Disress ink for aged look, and used Ranger Glossy Accents to highlight a few embellishments.
I hope you liked this album. Stamperia do such a wonderful range of design papers that make it really easy to create impressive projects.
