Cragside. Tag book by Karen Moss
For my final project this month I have made a tag book. This primarily came about because I only had scraps of my Maja Design Mum's Garden papers but had almost a whole sheet of the Uniquely Creative Peonies & Proteas paper - Native Passion. This had four large tags and I thought they would form the basis of a tag album.
Recently, I had visited Cragside, with my Northern family and had taken lots of photos, so I decided they would be better 'off my phone and into a book'.
I started by cutting out the tags and then trimmed them down to 5 1/2" tall. I used one of these as a template to cut eight more tags from my remaining Maja Design Mum’s Garden papers. I also cut some half width tags and pieces to form pockets at the bottom of my pages.
I used white card for my five pages and I drew around one of the tags adding a 1/8" border on the top, bottom and right. On the left I added a 3/4" border. I made my two covers by drawing around one of the pages but the left border was only 1/2".
I pierced holes along the left of all my pages and covers and used variegated thread to sew them together.
All that was left to do was to add pockets and decorate each page with die-cuts and rub-ons from 49 and Market Color Swatch Willow and fussy cut pieces from the tag paper.
