A galaxy of ideas note book by LOUISE CROSBIE

Hi there.
I’ve altered a basic journal/project book cover to make it a bit more exciting and inspiring to use. I’ve decided it’s for keeping a note of ideas. With space to fit in clippings for mood boards and colour swatches etc. A galaxy full of ideas…
Or I may gift it for Christmas. I am as yet undecided. Lol
These spiral bound hard back journals and scrap books are so easy to alter as the covers come off easily, meaning you don’t risk getting paint etc on the inside pages.
I started by stencilling Finnabair’s number stencil onto it, covered it in black gesso then layered some rusty Dusty Attic cogs onto it. (There’re also a couple of bits of resin cast from Stamperia moulds )
The embellishments also got black gesso on them before I painted everything with metallique paints and added waxes to the embellishments.
Some paint splatters gave it the galaxy vibe.
As ever, I’m always happy to answer any questions you have as to how the item was made or the products used.
